✅ The Positives (let’s get them out the way)

• Easy to find — no sat nav nightmares here.
• Check-in was smooth — no queues, no faff.
• Wi-Fi was unreal for a rural site — genuinely impressed.
  Managed to stream the Usyk fight on Saturday night with no buffering (called the win weeks ago).

That’s about it for the good stuff, sadly.

🚽 Facilities vs People

As you’ll probably notice from the drone shots (one of the rules that was broken this weekend, No Drones!) I took, this site is huge.
Which begs the question: why are there so few toilets?

• The main reception had a solid block — clean, well maintained.
• The camping areas had four port-a-loos… for what felt like hundreds of people.
• I only saw the port-a-loos getting cleaned on day 3 — and we were packing up to leave.

🚿 Showers?

• 6 standard
• 2 accessible
  That’s it. No queue management, no cleaning rotation I could see. Just vibes.

🔇 Rules That Don’t Exist

The site had rules clearly posted:

• 🔥 Fires out by 11pm
• 🗣️ Quiet talking only after 11
• 🔕 No noise after midnight
• 🚁 No dones on site at all (Naturally this had to be broken)

Unfortunately, none of it was policed.

Night One = Write-Off

We arrived late after driving from Yorkshire.
Pitched up in the dark (in what turned out to be a bad spot near the main walkway), and hoped for some sleep.
Instead, we got:

• Drunken wandering
• Door slamming (those sprung toilet doors were brutal)
• Chatting, shouting, and general chaos until well past 1am

I’m all for a good time, but if you’re going to post rules, enforce them. Otherwise, what’s the point?

💰 Value for Money?

£17 per person per night.
With:

• Poor toilet/shower ratios
• No rule enforcement
• And broken sleep

Honestly? I’ve stayed at much better sites for much less.
